If you are over 13 and under 18 years of age, you are allowed by law to consent to an adoption without your parents permission or consent. If you are under the age of 13 years, your parents, legal guardian, or court appointed guardian-ad-litem, must witness your signature when you sign the Consent to Adoption.
We always recommend telling your parents, after all it is a very big secret to keep, but we will respect your wishes if you decide you do not want to tell them. If you want our help to tell your parents we can assist you to break the news. We are here to support you whatever decision you make.
